Hotel Villa Malpensa
Wild Writing Woman Jacqueline Harmon Butler highly recommended this hotel only 800 metres from the Intercontinental Airport of Milano Malpensa Terminal 1. Villa Malpensa is a beautiful early-XXth century Villa, formerly the sumptuous residence of Count Caproni. It is placed in a huge private garden in the characteristic medieval village of Vizzola Ticino, in the Ticino natural park. 110 €

Mandello del Lario (Lake Como)
Bed and Breakfast dell´acqua bianca di Annamaria Scanagatta
Alis Agostini booked this B&B for me. It is described as a comfortable house with garden situated near the Mountain Grigna (2410m), with a magnificient view of Lake Como. Two rooms for 2 or 4 persons with private bath/shower and toilet. Parking and covered place for motocycles. Ideal location for trekking, climbing and nature walks, acquatic and winter sports. Just a few minutes from Lecco (10km), Varenna (15km), Bellagio, and Como (35km). Well connected with Milano (60km), Bergamo (35km), Valtellina (50km) and Switzerland(45km). English and French fluently spoken.
25 €

June 5, 6, 7
Venice, Italy
Hotel Antico Panada (on Piazza St. Marco)
Another recommendation from Jacqueline Harmon Butler. The Hotel Panada is in the heart of the "Sestiere" (District) of San Marco with rooms decorated in an 18th century Venetian style. It overlooks the Calle degli Specchieri, which leads directly, without crossing any bridges, to the Basilica of San Marco and one of the most beautiful piazzas in the world, Piazza San Marco, with its majestic bell tower, the Ducal Palace and the Clock Tower. Jaqueline also provided some advice for getting to the hotel and into Vencie that I included in Logistics.
120€

That's all I have planned until I meet the Wild Writing Women in Greece. I'll likely be camping a lot. In Italy I may stay at farms/agroturismo.

Croatia Dalmatian Coast: mix of camping and small hotels
About camping: Those "in the know" have called Croatia "Europe's number one camping destination". The country boasts diverse landscapes, a thousand islands and islets, peninsulas and bays, all making Croatia magnificent and idyllic. Croatia is the place to enjoy days under a clear blue sky and warm nights under a starry sky, as if this country was made just for camping. At the same time, all modern amenities are but a stone's throw away. Of a total of 127 campgrounds in Croatia, nearly 90% are situated along the Adriatic Coast, or on islands, with the remainder located near lakes and rivers.
