I'd like to thank the following organizations, outfitters, and individuals for their contributions:
Moto Guzzi
With special thanks to Stefania Galli, the Press Officer for Moto Guzzi who arranged the loan of the Breva 750 this year and in 2001, the California EV 1000.
Moto Guzzi Dealership in Mandello del Lario
Alis Agostini runs this famous dealership on the Banks of Lake Como. You can rent a Moto Guzzi there and take one of the fabulous routes pictured on their site.
Olympia Motor Sports
Thanks to owners Kevin & Karilea Rhea for the cool-in-every-way Ladies Mustang Jacket and Jean pictured at right. The set is made of Dupont Cordura® with Cool Mesh Airflow lining. The boot cut ladies jean has 5 pockets, expandable hip and side leg panels and adjustable removeable knee armor and compression foam at hips. The jacket has 8 pockets, reflective piping, back protector, and removeable armor at elbows and shoulders.
Women's International Motorcycle Association (WIMA)
I was a member in the 80's and 90's in Europe and now WIMA has revived in the USA. Led by president Alice Sexton, the organization and community is growing and has a great list (WIST) where women can talk about everything from racing to fashion to travel.
motocicliste.net
A women's motorcycling organization in Italy, this group has published my work and also served as a connection point for meeting women in Italy and Europe.
Specter Road Boots
I chose Specter Road Women's Motorcycle Boot style 8506, a pull-on boot with flexible joint and ballistic lining. Very, very comfortable!
Wild Writing Women
For writing assistance, moral assistance, and inspiration for this trip location.
Maureen Wheeler
Whose continuing friendship, despite long periods of necessary absence, is much appreciated!
My Family and Friends
Who fully support my projects yet care enough to worry about me a litte bit. I love you! |
