Welcome to the Indian Sunset
Dispatches
Carla King is a San Francisco-based
travel and technology writer and author of The American Borders Dispatches created in 1995, the first
complete real-time multimedia web travelogue on the Internet.
In 1998 she sent missives to the web during a journey from Beijing
to the Tibetan border in The China Road Dispatches. Indian Sunset
is the third in this trilogy of online journeys. For more information
about Carla, you can find it in her bio.
During the trip, Carla will be reporting
on several specific topics in addition to her travel experiences:
the Enfield motorcycle and her computing experiences, technology
and the state of the Internet in India and how it is being used
by the general public, on women's issues, and on her spiritual
journey to the famous Southern Indian temple areas.
