Shanti, the Sri Jambukeshwara Temple Elephant In Tirucirappalli (or Trichy, as it is more commonly known) there are many temples and rock forts. The Sri Jambukeshwara temple is dedicated to Shiva and Parvati, and is one of the Pancha Bhoota (five elements) temples and is dedicated to water. I was not able to gain entry into the inner sanctum, as I am not a Hindu, but the temple grounds and shrines are beautiful, and four a 2 rupee coin Shanti blessed me with a gentle tap on the head with his trunk.
