Day 28 (February 4, 2000)

Cybercafe? No problem. Only they don't serve coffee. Connection speeds vary and get dropped more than the average San Francisco ISP drops them, but I am finding it more than amazing that everybody in India knows what the Internet is -- or at least, where to get to it. Today I helped an Austrian traveler with his FIRST e-mail! "It's changed my life," said another traveler, a farmer from the U.S.. "I can check on my crops from the other side of the world." He looked up and smiled. "Hey! We just got rain!"
