Day 58 (March 5, 2000) A VIRTUAL VISIT TO SAN FRANCISCO Rest day in Tirupati, joining the Radio-V (radio-v.com) team in San Francisco for a Shivharati festival party virtually. While they're spinning and dancing in the new Verbum offices, we were connected via the Internet in the Radio-V chat room. So many friends are there, and are, still, as I write this, 13 1/2 hours ahead of them dancing the night away. Tomorrow Marcia and I will ride the 59 switchbacks to the top of Tirumula to join the pilgrims in the most-pilgrimed temple in the world. Then it's back to Madras to return the bike and fly to Delhi to meet NDTV once again for a visit to the Taj. BACK TO HOME |
